I can't say enough good things about this wonderful place! Our hosts, Joseph and Eli went above and beyond to make our stay great! The room was beautiful and even better than the pictures online. Charming decor, a really comfortable bed, a stunning view from the terrace, and a central location make this casita suite the spot to be in San Miguel. The neighborhood is quiet but easy to find and the mile walk to downtown makes the city easy to navigate. The suite is very affordable and is more than we could have ever imagined. Joseph and Eli made sure to tell us all the good restaurants, great directions around the downtown, and gave us great ideas of what activities we could take advantage of. They were there when we needed them and also allowed us to explore on our own. They include maid service every day with impeccable detail. Fresh fruit, water, and a bottle of wine were there to welcome us as well as information that we could look through about the town itself, which was so helpful. I will recommend this casita to everyone I know. We will be staying there again hopefully sooner than later!

The adorable Casa de La Paz is the perfect, cozy, romantic little nest to call home after a long day exploring the artistic town of San Miguel. Your friendly, creative and über-thoughtful hosts, Joseph and Eli will greet you and guide you down a walkway lined with lush succulents and bright bougainvillea. A heart-shaped sculpture made of twigs hangs above the outdoor dining area and hints at the love poured into this sweet casita. You open the door and the place is as charming and welcoming as it could possibly be. Art adorns every wall; a light, breezy canopy ensconces the bed; a writing desk with a most unique lamp is tucked in the corner; heavy carved wooden doors hide a massive closet and mini-fridge; happy sunflower tiles line the sink and make-shift “kitchen;” and the bathroom boasts a most unique rounded brick ceiling in the shower. You will want for nothing as your hosts have thought of every detail. The bed is a comfortable, supportive mattress like you would find in someone’s home—such a gift when you’re traveling! The kitchen is outfitted with delicious coffee, sugar and tea, and there is even cream for your coffee and a big bottle of drinking water in the mini-fridge. A beautiful talevara dispenser full of clean water sits right next to the sink. The desk drawer is brimming with maps and information on local sights and restaurants. There are also phone numbers and a local phone to call for a taxi if you don’t feel like enjoying the 15-20 minute walk through the quaint neighborhood streets to get to the heart of town. Please note that San Miguel is a city made of cobblestone streets that transport you to another time. These streets are part of the unique character of the town and as much as you will treasure the way they look in your photographs, car tires cannot travel over them without making some noise! Embrace it as part of your experience of this magical place. Book your stay at Casa de La Paz—you will fall in love with it. We loved our long weekend here and will definitely be back!

Eli & Joseph fueron super anfitriones. Su casa es muy linda, llena de detalles de decoración, libros y hasta un calentador para que no pasáramos frío en la noche. Para viajeros con perro como nosotros, es un lugar ideal. ¡Regresaremos pronto!

I thoroughly enjoyed my week stay at Casa de la Paz. Joseph and Eli couldn't be more warm or lovely as hosts--sharing ideas of where to go and what to see. A large fresh fruit basket awaits your arrival. It's a 15 minute walk to the main street downhill, which is quite easy. Taxis are quite cheap so I took a taxi when returning late at night. I definitely would like to come back again! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Comfortable, homey, generous and well thought out accommodations with stunning private sunset view at a great value! Joseph & Eli surprised us with a "free" upgrade from the smaller casita to the the one with a stunning balcony sunset view. Our hosts' thoughtfulness included such items as fresh fruit, breakfast items, beverages and even a complimentary bottle of wine. Joseph and Eli were attentive to our every need even suggesting the best restaurants and other sites to visit during our stay. Our casita was cozy and artfully decorated which created a memorable experience of our time in San Miguel.

Gracias Eli y Joseph!!!

Eli and Joseph made our stay in San Miguel de Allende a memorable one!! They were amazing hosts and their house is beautiful! We felt super comfortable and at home. They offered amenities like a mini fridge, microwave, fruit, coffee, oatmeal and many more things that really made their service stand out from the rest! We loved it there and would definitely go back! We loved that we could walk from their house to the town center in just a few minutes! Highly recommended!!

If decor and attention to detail is your priority, then this is the place for you. If kind and attentive hospitality is your priority, then this is the place for you. If being in a wonderful town with colonial architecture and great arts and crafts shopping is for you, then this is the place for you. And finally, if you like good restaurants with all types of cuisine with fantastic decor, well, again, come here. I can't really think of a downside to coming to San Miguel. Eli and Joseph, our hosts, obviously paid attention to every detail in their guest suite, down to having cold beer in the fridge, tissues by the bedside and fresh, local fruit in the kitchenette. This is more than a business for them as they care for their guests and their time with them. They are available and helpful, but do not hover. San Miguel is a great Mexican town, and has been a migration place for many foreigners. This, fortunately hasn't seemed to change the charming character of the town and the original inhabitants are friendly, engaging and ready to assist.

What an amazing experience! The house itself was immaculately decorated and set on beautiful grounds. My best air BnB experience to date. J+E were so thoughtful and accommodating; they researched massages for us both and even arranged our favourite fruit to be in our room on our arrival. Thank you so much!

Where do we begin to describe this magical place? The private detached Casita is a decorators showplace with every detail in place. This secluded gem is safely contained within an old world hillside compound with city views. I truly enjoyed the authentic San Miguel experience and visiting with the exceptional hosts Eli & Joseph who know to treat a guest.

Eli & Joseph are probably the best hosts anyone could ask for. Not only is their home a beautiful and peaceful retreat but they went above and beyond to make us feel at home and provide us with things we might need, like a shopping bag & sunhat, map of the city, snacks & beverages, suggestions on not-to-miss places and food, etc. Their home is an oasis out of the fray of Centro, but also a perfect jumping off point well within walking distance of all this magical city has to offer. You can take a cheap taxi into the city, or enjoy a leisurely stroll to check out the beautiful architecture and little shops along the way, which I highly recommend. I will definitely be back!

Eli and Joseph were the perfect hosts. Their friendliness and warmth made our stay even more enjoyable. The suite is lovely, comfortable, and cozy-everything you need for a romantic getaway. Joseph even does massage right on the premises in his studio. So why bother leaving? The grounds are beautiful, the view spectacular, and it's dog friendly. An amazing value and experience!

Our shuttle arrived at a beautiful hand painted door, surrounded by flowers and foliage. Opening the door we were instantly in love with a stone staircase that led us to the casita where we stayed. Every detail was beautiful. Our hosts forgot nothing, leaving coffee and fruit, along with maps and a welcome packet to help us move through the city with ease. The casita is beautifully decorated, and a stone walkway will take you to the huge covered balcony where you can see the entire city and the sky. We have stayed at many hotels and B&B's, and this was by far the most wonderful. Our hosts, Joseph and Eli, were gracious, kind and absolutely went above and beyond to see that we were right at home. They know where to find the best restaurants, where to shop organically, and all the secrets of the city. We are in love with the city and this casita! Thank you Eli and Joseph!

How nice to get a smiling welcome from Eli at the back gate to their lovely home. My partner and I spent 4 days in San Miguel and had just a truly amazing experience. Eli and Joseph really helped make that happen. This was our first trip the area so what a relief to have advice on where to go... I'll have to admit we did hesitate at picking out this property to stay at because it's not in el centro, but I'm glad we did! The walk into to town was part of the experience, it was a great way to start the day, and get acquainted with the town. The taxi service in SMA is extraordinary, taxi's abound and they're so inexpensive. You can literally go anywhere within the city limits for 50 pesos, (3 dollars ). So after spending the day walking through the parks, plazas, museums, etc.. of the city it's a nice to escape to Casa de La Paz to relax. When we go back to this special city we will definitely stay with Joseph and Eli again.

As soon as I arrived, I was glad I chose to stay at Eli and Joseph's beautiful Charming Casa de la Paz! The suite was perfect and the view was spectacular, and the accommodations within the suite (coffee maker, etc) were all I needed! It is a perfect suite for a single person or couple, it walks out onto a very large patio overlooking the city with gorgeous sunsets. Joseph and Eli are great hosts, being helpful when needed and invisible for privacy. I highly recommend the Charming Casa de la Paz!
